Million almost reached: Sharp increase in charging volumes of ČEZ chargers last year. Electric vehicles stopped by for 75,000 charging sessions.

January 28, 2019 - The volume of electricity consumed in the network of public charging stations of the ČEZ Group grew by almost 50% to 959,115 kWh on a year-to-year basis. The most frequently used were charging stations in Prague-Karlín, Olomouc, Prague-Holešovice, and Vestec. The ČEZ Group currently operates 140 public charging stations in the Czech Republic, of which eighty are fast charging stations. This infrastructure is being built also thanks to the European grant from the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) programme.

Unipetrol, in co-operation with ČEZ, continues to expand the offering of the Benzina network by adding electric power. Newly in Ostrava, Plzeň a Hradec nad Svitavou.

January 21, 2019 - Unipetrol continues to expand the number of Benzina petrol station network locations, which, in addition to conventional fuels, also offer electric energy from fast charging stations to drivers. Installation is ensured by Electromobility of the ČEZ Group, the operator of the largest domestic network of public charging stations. The Rousínov site near the D1 motorway was put into operation last summer and fast charging stations were also added in Ostrava-Zábřeh, in Plzeň-Borská pole and in Hradec nad Svitavou near the future D35 highway. In the coming months, dozens of these facilities will be put into operation in the Benzina network. This infrastructure is being built also thanks to the European grant from the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) programme.

McDonald’s is expanding its network by offering fast-charging stations for electric cars in cooperation with ČEZ

The fast food chain McDonald’s is offering its customers the opportunity of fast charging for their electric cars. Thanks to its cooperation with the ČEZ Group, ABB public fast charging stations are currently being installed in selected locations throughout the Czech Republic. The latest area is available for use on the premises of a restaurant in Průmyslová street in Prague. This infrastructure is being built also thanks to the European grant from the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) program.

Fast-charging stations are popping up along Czech motorways. The newest addition is between Prague and Plzeň

A network of fast charging stations for electric cars is quickly growing along Czech motorways and enables travel across the country in many directions. The newest addition to the network is the two fast charging stations in the Žebrák area, on the D5 motorway between Prague and Plzeň, which has been built thanks to a grant from the European program Connecting Europe Facility (CEF). Through this program, the European Commission provides support for the interconnection of Europe by building charging stations along the main TENT-T road network.

ČEZ network of public charging stations has reached 100 stations, out of which 50 allow fast charging

The network of public charging stations for electric cars operated by the ČEZ Group has reached 100 installed stations. ČEZ meets the increasing demand for electromobility by building new stations, especially fast charging stations, whose number is currently at 50, and by offering related products and solutions for all types of customers.
