2020 IN ELECTROMOBILITY: ELECTRIC CARS DREW A QUARTER MORE ENERGY AT ČEZ. CHARGING BEGAN TO BE CONTROLLED BY SOFTWARE FROM THE ISRAELI COMPANY DRIIVZ

Despite the pandemic, the growth of zero-emission electricity in the network of ČEZ public charging stations for electric vehicles continued last year. Green chargers, located from Marianske Lazne to Trinec, filled e-car batteries with more than 2.4 GWh, which is 24% more than last year. The network, comparable to larger chains of conventional filling stations, has doubled in size in the last two years. The public charging network is created thanks to a European grant from the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) programme, from funds allocated by the Transport Operational Programme and from ČEZ Group's own resources.

THE LARGEST NETWORK OF PUBLIC CHARGERS REPORTS 250 STANDS. IT PLANS TO TRIPLE THE PERFORMANCE OF THE ENTIRE NETWORK WITHIN FIVE YEARS.

ČEZ Group commissioned the 250th public charging station for electric vehicles. The jubilee charger is the newly installed ABB fast charging station, which is available to e-car drivers in the Kaufland car park in Mladá Boleslav. The network, comparable to larger chains of conventional filling stations, has doubled in size in the last two years. The volume of zero-emission electricity consumed is also growing; this year, despite pandemic restrictions, the limit of 2.5 million drawn kWh is expected to be exceeded for the first time in history. With such an amount of energy in the batteries, a road train of 425 electric cars could travel around the world. The infrastructure is created thanks to a European grant from the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) programme, from funds allocated by the Transport Operational Programme and from ČEZ Group's own resources.

THE NEW SMART FUTUR/E/GO APPLICATION HAS DOUBLED THE NUMBER OF ELECTRIC CAR CUSTOMERS. DRIVERS LIKE THE FEATURE OF CHARGERS´ OCCUPANCY AND THE NAVIGATION.

Finding the nearest charging station, reporting the occupancy of individual stands in the entire network of more than 240 stations or an overview of all consumption and billing - this is just a small list of services that have been a matter of course for ČEZ customers for half a year. This is how the FUTUR/E/GO application sets the pace while operating the network and managing customer accounts. The advanced IT system of the Israeli company Driivz is currently used globally by three-quarters of a million e-car drivers and, more recently, by roughly two thousand ČEZ clients. The launch of the system was funded by the European programme Connecting Europe Facility (CEF).

TWELVE RENAULTS SURROUNDED A TRIO OF FAST CHARGERS AT THE D0 MOTORWAY FOR TWO HOURS. THE BATTERY SYSTEM WITH PHOTOVOLTAICS AT THE BACK HAS WITHSTOOD THE ONSLAUGHT!

The premier Czech test of simultaneous charging of six e-cars at three stations and at the same time the little-seen charging of batteries of 12 e-cars of one brand at one place and time. The trio of ČEZ public fast charging stations in Vestec, Central Bohemia, has successfully completed a two-hour verification of the operation of full island operation and reliable coverage of one-time demand from drivers. The use of the network of ČEZ public charging stations located from Mariánské Lázně to Třinec is experiencing a boom this year despite anti-pandemic restrictions. ČEZ currently operates approximately 230 public charging stations throughout the Czech Republic, i.e. about half of all domestic professional stations. The infrastructure is also created thanks to a European grant from the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) program and the Transport Operational Programme.

Shell service stations to offer ČEZ fast charging stations for electric cars

Fast recharging of electric cars at ČEZ stations will henceforth be possible at selected Shell service stations in the Czech Republic. ČEZ Group, the operator of the country’s most extensive network, with more than 200 charging stations, together with Shell Czech Republic a.s. plans to gradually commission 10 fast charging points in phase one. The infrastructure is being created also thanks to a European grant from the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) Programme. The first charging point at a Shell service station was put into operation at the Gočár Ring Road in Hradec Králové.
